Dominate the Green - Golf Tip's

Here Are Some Simple Golf Tip's To Help You Dominate The Green

Problems with Hooking causing you shot to curve to the left.

  • If your having problems hitting the ball in a strait line the first thing you want to do is check your grip. Each hand should be aligned with your right shoulder. If your hands are aligned to far right then your grip is too "strong" This could cause you shot to hook on impact. If you feel you have a proper grip and the ball is still hooking, loosen your grip a little and move your hands to align more to your left shoulder.

  • Always make sure your in the proper stance. Your feet, knees, hips and shoulder should be aligned with your target(the ball).Sometimes we hook our shot because of the position of the ball and our body. Keep your body parallel with the ball.

  • Use the palm of your hands to firmly grip the club. This will keep the momentum on your arms and body rather than your wrist's making for a more powerful and precise swing. We don't want to relax the wrist's to much though, we want to make the sure pressure is evenly distributed.

  • When getting ready to strike the ball we want to lead with our legs and body. This keeps from putting to much tension on the wrist's and making for a more comfortable and accurate swing.

Don’t over analyze your shot

This mental golf tip is extremely helpful. Golf is not only a physical sport. The physical part being striking the ball and making it go where you want it to go, but it is very much a mental game. Maybe even more so. We don’t want to over analyze or over think any shot. Over analyzing you shots could and will lead to clogging of the brain which then sends poor signals to the body. A great teacher once told me, “first you must imagine the ball going into the hole”. Don’t think about your last shots, just focus on the current shot. Focus on your breathing before you prepare for a shot. Let your imagination deal with all the other factors involved and you wont have to over think anything. You might even enjoy the game a little bit more.

These are just a couple of golf tip's that have really helped me improve my game and I hope they will do the same for you. Remeber proper position and stance. Then let your imagination take control.

Thanks for taking the time to read this blog. I'll see you on the Green!
